چکیده
The use of natural gas in pure or a blended form with hydrogen and syngas spark ignition (SI) engines has received much attention recent years. They have higher diffusion coefficient laminar flame speed, small quenching distance wider flammability limit which compensate the demerits lean-burn combustion. Therefore, careful examination chemical kinetics combustion gaseous fuel blends is great importance. In this paper, performance various mechanisms compared against experimental data, accumulated for methane-based under engine-relevant conditions to find most appropriate mechanism engine simulations. Pure methane, methane/syngas, methane/propane are mainly studied at temperatures, pressures, equivalence ratios. delay time speed used as quantitative metrics compare simulation results data from experiments. were shown be consistent lean stoichiometric mixtures high pressures. It was also that GRI-3.0 290Rxn compatibility times pressures conditions, they can utilized simulations SI due their lower computational cost. present research provide an important contribution conditions.

Experimental investigation on constant-speed diesel engine fuelled with biofuel mixtures under the effect of fuel injection
The petroleum product has seen a drastic demand in the recent past. Biofuels are the only solution to overcome this power crisis. In the view of sustainable energy development, biodiesel and its additives have become the best options for fossil fuel-based engines. In this work, a biodiesel mix was used to show the possible utilization of different biofuels. An experimental investigation was car...

In this study, an in-house multi-dimensional code has been developed which simulates the combustion of n-heptane in a Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engine. It couples the flow field computations with detailed chemical kinetic scheme which involves the multi-reactions equations. A chemical kinetic scheme solver has been developed and coupled for solving the chemical reactions an...
متن کاملModeling of Chemical and Mixing Effects on Methane Autoignition under Direct-injection, Stratified Charged Conditions
Fundamental experiments and direct numerical simulations indicate that reaction rates during the ignition delay of direct-injection, stratified charge mixtures are determined by both chemical reaction and mixing rates. Consequently, the commonly used, purely chemistry-dependent approach for predicting ignition is no longer valid when the mixing rate limits the reaction rates. This work proposes...
متن کاملImproved Turbine Engine Hierarchical Modeling and Simulation Based on Engine Fuel Control System
Aircraft engines constitute a complex system, requiring adequate mon-itoring to ensure flight safety and timely maintenance. The best way to achieve this, is modeling the engine. Therefore, in this paper, a suitable mathematical model from engine controller design point of view, for a specific aero turbine engine is proposed by the aid of MATLAB/Simulink software. The model is capable of reduc...
